The European Football Association (UEFA) decided to open an investigation against England star Jude Bellingham after the incident in the Slovakia match, in the Euro 2024 semi-final.

Bellingham made a gesture. Unethical, after scoring the equalizer against Slovakia in stoppage time, at a time when Slovakia was ahead by one goal without a response.

UEFA said: “The Ethics and Disciplinary Committee will conduct an investigation regarding a possible violation of the appropriate conduct regulations by England national team player Jude Bellingham, and any information regarding this will be announced.” The matter is at its due time.”

Bellingham said about this incident: “It was an inside joke with some close friends who attended the match, nothing.” Except respect for the Slovak national team, which fought the confrontation strongly.”
