Officially... Barcelona announces the departure of Marcos Alonso
FC Barcelona announced in an official statement, via its website, the departure of Spanish star Marcos Alonso.
The club said: “Marcos Alonso will not continue with FC Barcelona.” Barcelona, as the Spanish defender’s contract expires on June 30.
He added: “FC Barcelona would like to register its appreciation for his commitment and dedication, and wishes him all the best and success in the future.”
He continued: “The left-back leaves Barcelona after two seasons wearing the Blaugrana. He arrived from Chelsea in 2022 and played 45 matches and scored three goals.”
