Bayern Munich is seeking to renew the contract of their English defender Eric Dier, following his impressive performance recently and his increasing importance within the team, especially in light of the absence of French player Dayot Upamecano due to injury.

According to the German newspaper "Bild", the club's sporting director, Max Eberl, has started discussions with the player regarding extending his contract until 2026, which was originally set to expire at the end of the current season.

The desire to keep Dier has become mutual, as Bayern Munich aims to retain his services, while the player is open to staying with the Bavarian giant.

The English defender has participated in 18 matches across all competitions this season, totaling 937 minutes, without receiving any yellow cards, reflecting his exceptional defensive role.

This move is part of Bayern Munich's strategy to retain its stars, following the contract extensions of Joshua Kimmich, Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, and Manuel Neuer, making Dier the latest name poised to remain with the team for a longer period.
