Juventus responded to the reports that linked its Italian defender Andrea Campyasu to move to one of the Premier League clubs during the last winter transfer window, confirming that there is an official interest, but it was not complete.

Campyasu has an extended contract with Juventus until June 30, 2029, and despite the reports indicated that Manchester City's interest in annexing it in the 2025 winter Mercato, the deal did not take place.

According to the famous journalist "Fabrizio Romano" through his official account on the social media platform "X", Cristiano Gionoli, sports director of Juventus, confirmed the existence of negotiations from one of the major English clubs, but he was not named.

"Yes, there was a big English club interested in including Campyasu, but the deal did not take place, we are happy to remain, and this is something that we are used to, because we have many young players who attract the attention of the major clubs."

Juventus is currently ranked fourth in the Italian league table, with 34 points, while Napoli tops the standings with 54 points.
